Please be reminded that the present results of the May-June 2024 CSEC and CAPE examinations are deemed preliminary results. Final results will be published after the query/review process.  Candidates can access their preliminary results at https://ors.cxc.org/studentportal. 

 

At present, CXC is working with the Local Registrars and with schools to ensure that concerns raised are addressed in the shortest possible time.  Candidates who may have questions about their results may submit requests for reviews and/or queries.

 

A query can be requested in respect of assessments deemed ‘Ungraded’ or ‘Absent’.  There is no cost for such a query.

 

A review (script review) can be made in respect of the grade allocated.  The cost of a review is Bds$60.00 or US$30.00. The deadline for submission of queries and reviews is 18th September 2024. 

•  Ungraded: A result of “Ungraded” indicates that an SBA, SBA grade, multiple-choice paper or supporting documents was not submitted on behalf of a candidate. Candidates may submit a Query to have this result investigated. Candidates are not required to pay for this service. Queries must be submitted on the Online Registration System (ORS).

• Absent: Candidates who attended an examination but received a result of “Absent” may submit a Query to have this result investigated. Candidates are not required to pay for this service. Queries must be submitted on the school’s ORS.   
• Review: Candidates who have questions about their grade and would like to have the papers reviewed, may submit a request for a “Script Review”.  The candidate will receive a refund of the review fee paid if the grade is adjusted. Requests for reviews must be submitted  through the ORS.  The cost per review is $Bds60.00 or USD$30.00 per subject.

 

The process:

 

• Parent/guardian determines whether to query/review candidate’s performance;
• Parent/guardian secures bank draft at any commercial bank.  Bank draft made payable to ‘The Registrar, Caribbean Examinations Council’  Re: Candidate’s name;
• Parent brings bank draft (or evidence of bank draft) to the school;
• School then enters query/review on the ORS (Query/review tab);
• School generates query report on the ORS;
• School or parent brings both bank draft and query report to the Ministry of Education;
• Local Registrar forwards bank draft to CXC;
• School subsequently checks with the ORS for query/review response from CXC.

 

The deadline for submission of query/reviews 18th September 2024.
